Krispy Kreme announced a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Pop-Tarts that will introduce three new, crazy options to the candy chain’s shelves — but for a limited time only.

Dubbed the “crazy good” line, each new donut — they’re already available at participating locations — reflects a universally loved Pop-Tart flavor.

“Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts are teaming up for the first time — you know the result is going to be crazy good,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief growth officer. “Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts fans will love starting the year with this delicious collaboration!”

The first is a frosted strawberry dipped in custard and topped with strawberry filling. The outside is also topped with shortbread, sprinkles, a strawberry twist, and strawberry Pop-Tarts pieces.

Next is a chocolate frosted donut that combines chocolate buttercream frosting with browner dough and chocolate chip Pop-Tarts with crushed frosting.

Finally, a brown sugar cinnamon donut is topped with a brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese flavored buttercream frosting. It’s topped with frosted cinnamon pop-roll tarts.

“Pop-Tarts aren’t just for toast — they can fuel a kitchen’s creativity to delight consumers,” said Jessica Waller, general manager of Po-Tart parent company Kellanova Away From Home.

“Krispy Kreme has done an incredible job bringing this opportunity to life, combining their iconic donuts with the beloved flavors of Pop-Tarts to create a truly unique experience for fans of both brands.”

Waller added her excitement to intersect the two flavors “in unexpected ways.”

Select retailers will also deliver Krispy Kreme donuts in six-pack boxes.

In late December, Pot-Tarts became the talk of social media for its fun-filled college football game between Iowa State University and Miami, Florida.

While the Cyclones’ win was exciting enough, all eyes were on the final postgame tradition of the winning team choosing which life-size Pop-Tarts mascot they would put in a giant toaster and eat.

“Whatever marketing firm made the PopTart Bowl a cultural touchpoint deserves to have a miniseries about them,” one fan posted on X.
