Coca-Cola Brings Back Fan-Favorite Flavor – But Only in Certain Countries: ‘Thank You, Coke Santa’

Some people may be green with envy.

Coca-Cola has brought back the Lime Coke flavor, which hasn’t been on store shelves for 18 years.

The fizzy thirst quencher, which features a hint of green citrus, was first released in 2005 and lasted for about two years before being discontinued.

A customer shared their discovery on the @UKNewestFoods Facebook page, cracking up news of the infamous drink’s return after spotting it in a UK grocery store on New Year’s Day.

“New Lime Coca-Cola Bottles Revealed at Tesco!” post read.

While many soda fanatics were excited by its reappearance, some were disappointed that the bottle contained zero sugar.

“I’d rather drink tap water than zero sugar soda,” one person commented.

“Let us adults make a choice – I’d rather have a full sugar cola once in a while than one full of chemicals,” confessed another.

“Haven’t seen this in years,” someone wrote. “I’ve tried it, it’s actually not bad.”

Meanwhile, another Coca-Cola fan found a regular version of the drink with lime inside a Scottish grocery store; they shared the find with the food site.

“Lime Coca-Cola is back!! Dirty today at Farmfoods!” The caption on Facebook reads.

One soda lover raved: “So glad they made this a full sugar version.”

“I need this,” one person pleaded. “Thank you, Coke Santa.”

Lucky for fans across the pond, the lime-flavored drink is available in both versions, including the classic, full-sugar Coke.

Unfortunately, there apparently hasn’t been a sighting of the lime-flavored soda in the U.S. yet, but fans are hoping it will make an appearance sooner rather than later.

The Post has contacted Coca-Cola for comment.

Meanwhile, Coke fanatics can watch for an upcoming release of the brand’s Orange Creamer flavor, which will hit shelves sometime next month, according to @Snackolator, a food blogger Facebook account.

“I loved Orange Vanilla so I have high hopes for this,” wrote one devoted fan.

“I wish Pepsi would step up their game as I’m a Diet Pepsi girl but I’m definitely going to try this,” added another.

“I’ve been looking for this all my life,” said one fan.
